Retreats

For those seeking a place to pause, reflect, listen and pray Retreats (individually guided or non-guided) and Quiet Days of Prayer can be arranged at mutually convenient times, with time and space just to ‘be’ in the beautiful surroundings of Emmaus House. You will have the use of our Chapel, Meditation Room, small Oratory, Art Room and extensive gardens.

Retreats are charged at  £50 per 24 hours, to include accommodation and all meals.  Quiet Days are charged at £20 per day with lunch, and £12 with refreshments only.

We schedule a variety of retreats throughout the year, for example,  A Garden Retreat and Creative Writing.  Each year in August a period of time is set aside specifically for individually guided retreat, although we welcome requests for such at other mutually convenient times. New for  2010 will be the introduction of four short retreat workshops centred around the seasons.  Further details can be found in our Programme.

Those wanting Spiritual Direction over a period of time are invited to contact us.  Arrangements are made according to individual needs.  Financial contribution is left to your discretion - your offering helps us to continue our mission at Emmaus House.  You may also see financial sharing as a way of allowing those less well off to benefit from this help.
