Welcome to Emmaus House

We are a Retreat and Conference Centre offering professional training and human development with flexible facilities.  Hospitality within a tranquil environment is our key value, underpinning all others; we extend a warm welcome in a friendly, ecologically focused atmosphere, set in the heart of the city of Bristol.  Open to all, we hope you will feel at home, for there is a harmony within the house that is conducive to residential retreats, workshops and a wide range of everyday courses.  Informal, yet professional, Emmaus House provides good teaching spaces in which to maximize the learning process and to develop the whole person.  Whilst we are ourselves of the Catholic/Christian tradition, we welcome people of all faiths or of none.

With ecology and environment uppermost in many people's minds, we are offering a new retreat workshop entitled "Caring for the Planet" on the weekend of 24th/26th September.

Emmaus House also provides excellent Facilities for meetings, conferences and private functions.  We are only fifteen minutes away from the motorway network and can also be easily reached by public transport.  For those travelling from a little further afield, Bristol Airport is approximately a twenty-minute taxi journey away.  Free parking is available in our small car park on a first come, first serve basis, although disabled visitors are encouraged to contact us in advance so that we can arrange reserved spaces.
