Emmaus House Gardens
Emmaus House gardens are a haven of peace and serenity with one of the most spectacular views across Bristol towards Dundry - a real 'oasis in the city'. Recently we were awarded Bristol in Bloom's Silver Gilt (2nd place) for Best Commercial Business Grounds, having previously achieved 2nd place in 2008, 1st place in 2006, and 1st place in both the Best Innovative Garden 1999 and Best Holistic Garden in 1997.
Covering approximately one-and-a-half acres, the gardens consist of several distinct areas including a Victorian walled kitchen garden, a formal herb garden, a courtyard garden with original Victorian cobblestones and stone watercourse, and a tranquil Zen garden boasting water and bamboo features. A small area of ground has also been transformed into a woodland walk.
We are happy to arrange group visits to the gardens, combined perhaps with tea and cake or with lunch. To book, please contact us.
Please note that disabled access is difficult due to the nature of the gardens' layout: there is, however, a ramp leading from the front car park to the Restaurant and the Rose Terrace from where a good view of the majority of the gardens can be obtained. Dogs are not permitted.
